bTaskee Launches in Penang on 1 November 2026
bTaskee is an on-demand home services app, founded in Vietnam in 2016 and operating in Malaysia since July 2025. From 1 November 2026, Penang residents can book Home Cleaning, Premium Cleaning, Deep Cleaning and Office Cleaning in the bTaskee app, with identity-verified Taskers and the price shown before you confirm.
Penang joins Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Nilai and Seremban as a bTaskee area in Malaysia. Across Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, bTaskee has served more than 1 million customers over 10 years, with a 98% satisfaction rate and more than 42,000 ratings averaging 4.9/5.
4 Cleaning Services You Can Book in Penang
| Service | Best for | Who comes and what they bring |
| Home Cleaning | Regular upkeep of condos and landed homes | One Tasker with basic tools and supplies |
| Premium Cleaning | Homes with carpets, rugs or fabric sofas | One Tasker, vacuum cleaner included |
| Deep Cleaning | Move-in, post-renovation, festive or yearly cleans | A team with 6+ months' experience and professional tools |
| Office Cleaning | Small and medium offices | Cleaners booked by office size |
Home Cleaning in Penang starts from RM79 for 2 hours, the same as KL & Selangor (reference price; peak hours, weekends and public holidays may cost more). For the full rates, see our Penang part-time cleaner price guide.
Home Cleaning
This is hourly cleaning for everyday upkeep. A Tasker dusts and wipes reachable surfaces, wipes switches and door handles, takes out the trash, and sweeps and mops, covering the living room, bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. A broom, mop, cloths and cleaning supplies are included. If your home needs more than 4 hours of work, book Deep Cleaning instead. Read more on the Home Cleaning page.
Premium Cleaning
Premium Cleaning is hourly cleaning that includes a vacuum cleaner, which standard Home Cleaning does not. Choose it if you have carpets, rugs, fabric sofas or a lot of dust under furniture, a common problem in homes near busy roads or construction sites.
Deep Cleaning
Deep Cleaning sends a team of partners with at least 6 months of experience and professional tools. It suits a new or renovated home, a long-empty house or a yearly reset before Chinese New Year. It is booked by floor area, from 60 m² to 400 m², which sets the team size and hours. See the Deep Cleaning page for the full scope.
Office Cleaning
Office Cleaning is booked by office size, between 6 AM and 10 PM, and a Tasker arrives at least 60 minutes after you book. It suits SMEs, startups and shared offices. Glass cleaning is available as an add-on; exterior building glass is not included. Details are on the Office Cleaning page.

Which Penang Cleaning Service Should You Choose?
You clean regularly and want help once a week or fortnight: Home Cleaning. Start with fewer hours and adjust after the first visit.
You have carpets, rugs, fabric sofas or pets that shed: Premium Cleaning, because it includes a vacuum cleaner.
You are moving into a new unit, have just renovated or the house has been empty for months: Deep Cleaning. Do it once, then keep it up with Home Cleaning.
You are hosting a big family gathering for Christmas or Chinese New Year: Deep Cleaning a week or two before, then a short Home Cleaning the day before guests arrive.
You run a small office, studio or shared workspace: Office Cleaning, booked by office size outside or during working hours.
Not sure? Book Home Cleaning first and write your concerns in the job notes. If the home needs much more than 4 hours, switch to Deep Cleaning next time.
Where in Penang Can You Book?
The quickest way to check is to enter your address in the app. If your area is covered, you will see the available services and the price for your home straight away.
Penang homes are very varied, and the app works the same way for all of them, whether you live in a high-rise condo in Tanjung Bungah, a shophouse in George Town, an apartment near the Bayan Lepas industrial area or a terrace house in Butterworth or Bukit Mertajam on the mainland.
Tip for condo residents: register your Tasker's name with the guardhouse or management office before the booking, and let them know where to park, so the cleaning starts on time.
How to Book Your First Clean in Penang (4 Steps)
Booking takes about 30–60 seconds:
Choose a service: Home Cleaning, Premium Cleaning, Deep Cleaning or Office Cleaning.
Enter the job details: your Penang address, number of rooms and any notes, such as "focus on the kitchen".
Choose a time: home cleaning runs daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, including public holidays.
Confirm and pay: with the bPay wallet, cash or card.
Prices can be higher before 8 AM, after 5 PM, on weekends and on public holidays, so a weekday daytime slot is usually the best value.

What Every Penang Booking Includes
The same standards apply in Penang as in the rest of Malaysia:
Vetted Taskers: every Tasker is interviewed in person and passes a 3-step background check.
Multi-stage training: Taskers are trained in stages, not just hired.
Verify at the door: match the Tasker to the profile photo in the app, or scan their QR code.
Ratings you can check: once a Tasker accepts your job, you can see their rating and reviews.
Protection: liability insurance, data privacy and a clear complaint process.
Support: in-app chat, hotline 019-301 7988 and email support.my@btaskee.com.
